Getting Started – Which Australian Visa Is Best
You know what you want to do, but you’re not sure which visa matches your situation, right? Tourist visa, fiancée visa (prospective marriage visa), spouse visa (partner visa)?

Temporary or Permanent?
What we mean in this instance is the difference between whether the visa applicant is coming to Australia for a finite number of months and then returning to the Philippines again, versus her coming to Australia for good and not returning again.
So if this is just meant to be a visit? Choose TEMPORARY. If you’re in a committed relationship right now and intend staying together? Choose PERMANENT.
Marrying?
That means if you are definitely committed to marrying, either soon or within 9 months of a visa grant. You just need to decide which country you plan on marrying in.
And the “marrying” option also applies if you are already married! Same visa choices!
Where to marry? Australia or Philippines?
Can’t decide where you should marry? Wondering which is best for a visa, and have heard the chatter on the online advice forums? “They prefer that you marry in Philippines!”, and “They prefer when you marry in Australia!” So which one is better for a wedding, and which one is better for the visa?

Note that this means a live-in relationship, where you lead a shared-life. It’s not just a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship, nor is it an option if you’re just not ready to commit yet.

Great service for what is a complicated, very involved and tricky process. Down Under make the process roll along and make sure its right. They will kick you up the butt when required and not sugar coat anything. Both necessary ingredients to getting this mammoth thing done.
In our case its allowed us to get this through all the hurdles without using extra time and also reducing the stress. Still a LOT OF WORK and time but when your following the instructions and supply what's needed, how its needed, and how much is needed!!!! Its time but not difficult. The interpreting of what is a very legal and involved process has been done for you .

Life rewarded me with an unexpected trip to the Philippines. I met a nice lady who tugged on my heart strings.I was fortunate enough to be able to return to her and on one of those many sad goodbyes in the years that followed I found a DUV flyer before heading of to the airport.
The Down Under Visa team guided me through what had to be done, made it possible for my wife, step-son and daughter to settle in Australia as was our wish.

I have a phobia when it comes to forms so hired Jeff as a consultant based on the reviews.
Price is at the higher end of the price range listed for hiring a visa consultant. Glad I didn't skimp though, because you get what you pay for.
The "hub" (you'll learn what it is) made my life a lot easier too. I don't like communicating back and forth either and checking in with the hub made it easy to see what I had to do next.
The whole process of compiling the documentation, logs and photos took a little over a week.
The online application was submitted on Wednesday and on Friday we received her 600 tourist visa approval letter from the Australian Embassy in Manila
Mhagz wasn't required for an interview. The visa was granted based on the documents alone.
The guys are friendly and patient. They treated Mhagz courteously when she came into their Dasmarinas office to drop off her requirements personally.
Given the Philippines is a high risk country and Australia is notoriously difficult to get tourist visas for I can say with great confidence that no other visa consulting firm could have possibly beaten a 2 week turn around from initial enquiry to visa approval.
My best advice for anyone in the Philippines looking to get any type of visa into Australia is to hire these guys as your agents. Give them what they ask for when they ask for it. Follow their instructions to the letter.
They know their stuff and they do what you hire them to do with the highest level of professional.

March 2018 update -
Mhagz has just had her resident visa approved. Took only 5 months from lodgement to approval. We were set for the long haul of 12-18 months and possibly 2 years. I don’t know how they do it but they do seem to have a good working relationship with th embassy and their reputation is counting for something.read more

Yet another Stella performance from Jeff, Jeremy and the DUV Team, our permanent visa approved the day after it was submitted.
We used DUV for our Partner Visa (temporary) and after plenty of hard work and excellent advice from the DUV team it was approved in 7 months (record time). Now we used DUV to apply for our Permanent Partner Visa after the obligatory two year wait and have just been informed that it has been approved one day after it was submitted, great work team.
Sure you can apply for all this yourself but be prepared to be knocked back by the Australian Immigration as its a bit of a mine field to negotiate and DUV do it better than anyone I know.
My advice to any prospective visa applicants use DUV they make it so simple as they know the system. Also remember be totally honest and patient with DUV in all your dealings, if you are unable to supply a requested item just tell them, they will advise you from there.
So thank you so much to Jeff and his DUV team and my mate Jeremy who has helped us throughout this amazing Journey.

They only deal with a specific range of visas and they do it very well, the Migration Hub is an excellent tool that helps keep track of things. They truly understand the process and are very efficient at doing the best they can to help love happen.

After getting a refusal for a tourist visa to Australia years ago, I'm so glad that I found DUV and decided to engage their services for a tourist and then subsequently a partner visa. I'm a lawyer here in the Philippines and I would like to believe that I'm more or less able to understand the requirements and follow the procedures in applying for a visa. But I realized that application for visa is not a walk in the park when I received my very first visa refusal (and it hurts!). What you need is strong proof that your relationship is genuine and a strategy on how you can present this effectively. In legal parlance, you need to present sufficient evidence to establish probable cause that a genuine relationship exists and convince the assigned case officer to grant the visa. And for this, DUV can indubitably give you guidance with their vast knowledge and expertise in Australia's migration laws, rules and regulations; and their experience in both its theoretical and practical application. Because of this, I highly recommend the services of DUV for tourist and partner visa to Australia!read more

Hi, I would like to thank DUV for the Tourist Visa they got for my fiance Patricia recently; Especially Jeremy who was the one to do most of the work. Just like to add that it was good to see such good old fashioned dedicated business ethics displayed by this company, that modern times have left by the wayside. I reckon I sent a thousand emails to DUV (probably 990 to Jeremy and 10 to Jeff) and every single time the reply was sent within a few hours. think the longest I ever wait was about 6 hours. It might seem a small thing for some, but for an eccentric old Aussie buggar like myself, who values service above all... it was a very pleasing factor in my review of DUV. The other thing is... At first I was complaining to my fiance because of all the stuff DUV were asking of us. I thought, gee wizz... they are asking too much and I was mad at them. As time went by I began to see the method in the madness (for me at least) and come to grips with it all. By the end of the process, I now see that the way DUV process these Visa's is the very BEST way possible. It virtually assures you will be successful 99%. Yes, its taken us a long time, but yes also, I feel confident of success now with our pending PMV current being processed by Oz immigration. Temporary or Permanent?
What we mean in this instance is the difference between whether the visa applicant is coming to Australia for a finite number of months and then returning to the Philippines again, versus her coming to Australia for good and not returning again.
So if this is just meant to be a visit? Choose TEMPORARY. If you’re in a committed relationship right now and intend staying together? Choose PERMANENT.
Marrying?
That means if you are definitely committed to marrying, either soon or within 9 months of a visa grant. You just need to decide which country you plan on marrying in.

Great service for what is a complicated, very involved and tricky process. Down Under make the process roll along and make sure its right. They will kick you up the butt when required and not sugar coat anything. Both necessary ingredients to getting this mammoth thing done.
In our case its allowed us to get this through all the hurdles without using extra time and also reducing the stress. Still a LOT OF WORK and time but when your following the instructions and supply what's needed, how its needed, and how much is needed!!!! Its time but not difficult. The interpreting of what is a very legal and involved process has been done for you .

Life rewarded me with an unexpected trip to the Philippines. I met a nice lady who tugged on my heart strings.I was fortunate enough to be able to return to her and on one of those many sad goodbyes in the years that followed I found a DUV flyer before heading of to the airport.
The Down Under Visa team guided me through what had to be done, made it possible for my wife, step-son and daughter to settle in Australia as was our wish.

I have a phobia when it comes to forms so hired Jeff as a consultant based on the reviews.
Price is at the higher end of the price range listed for hiring a visa consultant. Glad I didn't skimp though, because you get what you pay for.
The "hub" (you'll learn what it is) made my life a lot easier too. I don't like communicating back and forth either and checking in with the hub made it easy to see what I had to do next.
The whole process of compiling the documentation, logs and photos took a little over a week.
The online application was submitted on Wednesday and on Friday we received her 600 tourist visa approval letter from the Australian Embassy in Manila
Mhagz wasn't required for an interview. The visa was granted based on the documents alone.
The guys are friendly and patient. They treated Mhagz courteously when she came into their Dasmarinas office to drop off her requirements personally.
Given the Philippines is a high risk country and Australia is notoriously difficult to get tourist visas for I can say with great confidence that no other visa consulting firm could have possibly beaten a 2 week turn around from initial enquiry to visa approval.
My best advice for anyone in the Philippines looking to get any type of visa into Australia is to hire these guys as your agents. Give them what they ask for when they ask for it. Follow their instructions to the letter.
They know their stuff and they do what you hire them to do with the highest level of professional.

Mhagz has just had her resident visa approved. Took only 5 months from lodgement to approval. We were set for the long haul of 12-18 months and possibly 2 years. I don’t know how they do it but they do seem to have a good working relationship with th embassy and their reputation is counting for something.read more

Yet another Stella performance from Jeff, Jeremy and the DUV Team, our permanent visa approved the day after it was submitted.
We used DUV for our Partner Visa (temporary) and after plenty of hard work and excellent advice from the DUV team it was approved in 7 months (record time). Now we used DUV to apply for our Permanent Partner Visa after the obligatory two year wait and have just been informed that it has been approved one day after it was submitted, great work team.
Sure you can apply for all this yourself but be prepared to be knocked back by the Australian Immigration as its a bit of a mine field to negotiate and DUV do it better than anyone I know.
My advice to any prospective visa applicants use DUV they make it so simple as they know the system. Also remember be totally honest and patient with DUV in all your dealings, if you are unable to supply a requested item just tell them, they will advise you from there.
So thank you so much to Jeff and his DUV team and my mate Jeremy who has helped us throughout this amazing Journey.

After getting a refusal for a tourist visa to Australia years ago, I'm so glad that I found DUV and decided to engage their services for a tourist and then subsequently a partner visa. I'm a lawyer here in the Philippines and I would like to believe that I'm more or less able to understand the requirements and follow the procedures in applying for a visa. But I realized that application for visa is not a walk in the park when I received my very first visa refusal (and it hurts!). What you need is strong proof that your relationship is genuine and a strategy on how you can present this effectively. In legal parlance, you need to present sufficient evidence to establish probable cause that a genuine relationship exists and convince the assigned case officer to grant the visa. And for this, DUV can indubitably give you guidance with their vast knowledge and expertise in Australia's migration laws, rules and regulations; and their experience in both its theoretical and practical application. Hi, I would like to thank DUV for the Tourist Visa they got for my fiance Patricia recently; Especially Jeremy who was the one to do most of the work. Just like to add that it was good to see such good old fashioned dedicated business ethics displayed by this company, that modern times have left by the wayside. I reckon I sent a thousand emails to DUV (probably 990 to Jeremy and 10 to Jeff) and every single time the reply was sent within a few hours. think the longest I ever wait was about 6 hours. It might seem a small thing for some, but for an eccentric old Aussie buggar like myself, who values service above all... it was a very pleasing factor in my review of DUV. The other thing is... At first I was complaining to my fiance because of all the stuff DUV were asking of us. I thought, gee wizz... they are asking too much and I was mad at them. As time went by I began to see the method in the madness (for me at least) and come to grips with it all. By the end of the process, I now see that the way DUV process these Visa's is the very BEST way possible. It virtually assures you will be successful 99%. Yes, its taken us a long time, but yes also, I feel confident of success now with our pending PMV current being processed by Oz immigration. There's a lot of preparation work to be done and information to be supplied I would recommend you engage them to handle your application knowing full well they will respond to your enquiries and help you all the way .
